Is your Speaking Style Profound or Profane?

Is your Speaking Style Profound or Profane?

In other words, do you speak with eloquence and elegance or is every second word peppered with *^2@#$ and does it matter?

I often listen to podcasts on professional development, women in business, speaking tips and other topics that relate to my business. So, I eagerly tuned into a show recently hoping for some insight – all I got was F that, F this.

I turned it off.

Now I’m “grown-up”, have heard plenty of swearing in my life and yes, have used the F word. Particularly when I started working in media and had to blaspheme along with the rest of the blokes at the pub to fit in. And use the word, mate, all the time!

Expressing ourselves through swearing is part of everyday life or is it just lazy speech?

As professionals who present or are interviewed on podcasts, television or have the privilege of speaking on stage to hundreds of people, you, no doubt have the knowledge and expertise to educate, entertain and enlighten an audience on your topic.

Let’s do that.

Good presenters are articulate, have a way with words and are often compelling story tellers.

Is there a way to rephrase what you want to say by using wordsmith skills and being an expert who speaks with style to engage your audience?

Well let’s see.

I may not be as good a wordsmith as you are, so I asked ChatGPT.

Here's the answer.
