Networking to Get Brand YOU Noticed

“Be Visible”. That is what Sir Richard Branson says. It’s one of his top tips to business success.

“A good leader does not get stuck behind a desk. I’ve never worked in an office – I’ve always worked from home – but I get out and about meeting people,” says Branson.

Networking, being seen and building relationships are important aspects to building a personal brand. All too often we get caught up with the day-to-day aspects of running our businesses or doing our job. I know I do. But I’m also conscious that I need to get out and meet people often, whether it’s through networking events, attending courses, being involved in community events or speaking engagements. And especially so if you work from a home office. (Who would have thought Richard Branson worked from home!)

And I know you may not like it …it feels uncomfortable or the idea of it might be a bit “salesy”. I’ve met some great people though networking – made some friends. I have created business but more importantly I have built relationships that are important to working life.

Here in my latest video are a few suggestions to make networking feel a bit more like socialising and just enjoying other peoples’ company without any hidden agenda.

Get out in the real world, meet people and build your brand through networking.
